Profile:

Dr Waseem Ahmad holds a PhD degree in the field of Artificial Immune System; taking inspiration from metaphors and processes of the natural immune system to create algorithms that solve complex computational problems. Dr Ahmad has completed his PhD from AUT University in 2012. He also holds a M.Sc. in Intelligent System Engineering from Birmingham University, UK.

Dr. Waseem Ahmad has worked at AUT University for two years, initially as a post doctoral research fellow and later as full time lecturer in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences. Prior to joining Waiariki Institute of Technology, Dr Ahmad was working as a Computing Program Leader at the International College of Auckland. He has number of publications in the field of data mining and machine learning.
