17 Oct 2014

Diploma in Fashion Technology student, Sarah Seerden has just won an incubator scholarship, and intends to use the highly-prized boost to further launch her own fashion label 'SarSee'. Those who attend the free Catwalk Fashion show on Nov 7 will see Sarah's talents on show, and the styling's of a star on the rise.

"Preparations for Catwalk are pretty busy and exciting. Everybody is trying to finish off their collections. Pieces were finished last term, but these are the final garments to go through with those outfits."

With her Catwalk garments inspired by stained glass windows and Aztec patterns, Sarah says they fall into the category she also sees Sarsee focusing on, that of 'Upmarket streetwear'.

"I lived in Perth for five years and I moved back especially to do this course at Waiariki, so I could launch my own label."

With consistent sizing's across her SarSee range, Sarah highlights her New Zealand made designs will focus on longer hemlines and initially be geared toward the twenty-five to thirty-five year old market.

Catwalk is open to the public and starts at 7.30pm at Waiariki's Mokoia Campus. For further details on Sarah's 'SarSee' fashion label, use the following link: www.facebook.com/SarSeeClothing
