Waiariki's Greg Brady, has been named the top Agriculture Tutor in the country. The primary industries faculty tutor recently won the AgExcel Excellence in Tutoring award following the AgExcel professional development forum in Hamilton earlier this month. The aim of the awards is to find inspirational tutors in the primary industries who can teach students the relevant skills and knowledge to succeed.

Greg has been tutoring at Waiariki for 10 years and bet out over 100 tutors to claim the award. The Rotorua Daily Post story on Greg's landmark win states "Trainees regard him as as approachable, patient, clued-up, a real good mate and his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm was often the reason trainees continue their courses".

Greg also mentioned part of his job satisfaction comes from seeing his students go forward into industry, including farm management, sharemilking and contract milking.
