Automotive Workshop

The automotive workshop on Mokoia Campus offers vehicle warrants and general service.  All work carries an MTA approved guarantee. Eftpos available. To make a booking ring 07 346 8879.

CS@W is here to answer technical questions and offer computer support to all Waiariki students. Join the group and become involved.

Cafe - Deli Marché

student cafeDeli Marché is conveniently located on Mokoia Campus. 
The self-serve food bar serves up a delicious variety of fresh food and drinks – including healthy food options and gourmet coffees – at reasonable prices Monday through Friday.  Plenty of comfy indoor and shaded outdoor seating is provided.

Childcare Centre

Nga Tamariki O Te Waiariki Educare Centre is a privately owned operation situated next to Mokoia Campus.  They offer reasonable rates and subsides may be available for full-time and casual places.  There are two centres, one of which has a bicultural vision and the other is a Te Reo Maori Centre.

Computer Suites

Each campus has at least one open access computer suite where you can work outside of class hours on assignments, check your Waiariki email and use the Internet.  These are located in N Block, Mokoia Campus.

Copy Centre

The Copy Centre in I Block, Mokoia Campus, provides photocopying, binding and laminating services for a small cost.  Visit the Copy Centre Team in Room I026 for all your copying and binding needs.  Regional campuses also have photocopying facilities.

Hair Salon

Hairdressing salon services are available on all Waiariki campuses. Modern and stylish haircuts and colours available at student-friendly prices.

Waiariki Institute of Technology training salon, Hairspray is located at 1127 Eruera Street, Rotorua. The salon is operated by Level 4 students and are fully supervised by qualified tutors. All salon services are available and there is a discount available to any Waiariki Institute of Technology student or staff member on presentation of your Waiariki ID.

Health centre staffHealth Care

The occupational nurse offers a comprehensive health service based in M Block, Mokoia Campus, which is available to all students and is free and confidential.  Services include health screening, injury or illness management and support, first aid, sexual health and contraception, cervical smears, vision and hearing tests, smoking cessation.
Students at regional campuses will be referred to local health services as appropriate or may phone to seek advice from the health nurse on Mokoia Campus, phone 07 346 8883.

Parking

Free parking is available on all Waiariki campuses (except Tokoroa) for all students and staff. Parking for people with disabilities (you must display your mobility card) is available in designated areas. Visitor parking is also available (ask at reception)

Plant Nursery

The plant nursery supports our horticulture students’ training.  Plants including vegetable punnets, herbs and a selection of flowering plants, shrubs, ground cover and climbers are available to purchase at competitive prices. 

The nursery hours of opening vary depending on availability of stock and hours are posted at the nursery.

Restaurant

The Kaiwhata Restaurant is located in the heart of Mokoia Campus and opens throughout the year for lunch and dinner service.  Delicious, affordable meals and ‘mocktails’ are created by our student chefs-in-training and served by hospitality students. EFTPOS available.

Waiariki Community Recreation Centre

A new gym and recreation centre which offers a weights, cardio and stretching area, state of the art squash court and a large three court multipurpose indoor recreation hall not to mention the brand new changing rooms and some skilled staff to motivate and guide you on your exercise quest. read more>>
