The Academic Statute is a compilation of regulations for the governance of academic matters within Waiariki Institute of Technology – Whare Takiura (Waiariki) to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and educational requirements.

The Directory is about the people who govern and manage Waiariki. Council and Te Mana Matauranga set the strategic direction while the senior management team make things happen. Waiariki was the first polytechnic to create the position of Deputy Chief Executive– Maori, and also the first to produce its Academic Statute in both English and Maori.

The Charter and Profile / Investment Plan are Waiariki’s documents that will, for the next three years, 2008 to 2010 guide the development and delivery of tertiary education to meet the needs of students, employers, and communities within the Waiariki rohe. read more>>

In 2008 we are required to update the Regional Statement to make sure the regions needs, gaps, priorities and future trends are indentified and current. Regional Facilitation is designed to ensure dialogue between stakeholders and tertiary education providers, as well as increasing collaboration between providers in the region. Stakeholders are community interest groups, industries, national, regional, governmental and other sector groups that have an interest in the provision of tertiary education. read more>>
