Parchments & Academic Transcripts

Graduation 2018 will be held on Wednesday 28, and Thursday, 29 March 2018.

After the successful completion of your qualification, you will receive a letter congratulating you on the successful completion of your award. This letter can be utilised by you as evidence of the award you have attained. The letter will be automatically emailed out to you, so please ensure that we have your current contact details so that you receive this important document.

Your first parchment for each qualification is free. A fee applies for additional parchments, available on request.

Your parchment will be given to you at your graduation awards ceremony (if you are graduating in absentia, your parchment will be available at a later date).

How to receive your parchment at a graduation ceremony

If you have completed, or expect to successfully complete*, your qualification by the end of Semester 2, 2017:

  • You must apply online. Late applications will not be accepted.

If you have completed, or expect to successfully complete*, your qualification in Summer Semester 2017-2018:

  • You must apply online. Late applications will not be accepted.
  • Due to time constraints, you may receive a faux parchment in lieu of an official parchment. If this is the case, you will be notified via text when your parchment is ready for collection (respond to the text if you wish to have your parchment mailed to the address we have on file for you).

*If you wish to attend a graduation ceremony but don't yet know if you've successfully completed your qualification, you must still apply to graduate by the deadline. If it is deemed by Toi Ohomai that you are not eligible to graduate, your graduation fees will be refunded to you. You will be notified whether your graduation application is confirmed or declined.

How to receive your parchment if you do not attend a graduation ceremony

Graduands who do not plan to attend a graduation awards ceremony do not need to do anything; a notification will be sent when parchments are ready for collection.

See the graduating in absentia information page for more details.

How to receive a parchment for embedded qualifications

If your qualification includes one or more embedded qualifications and you wish to receive parchments for each of these, and you:

  • will attend a graduation awards ceremony, be sure to complete the “Embedded and Additional Qualifications” section within the Graduation Application Form (deadlines apply); or

All parchment(s) are printed on quality paper, signed and sealed by the organisation, and suitable for framing. The first copy of you parchment/s is free of charge.
