English Language Centre
The English Language Centre offers a range of English language programmes specifically for those for whom English is a second language.
The English Centre offers part-time and full-time study options with courses running Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Students can study a minimum of one week up to 42 weeks per year in the Certificate in English programme.
We offer up to six class levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
Whether you are wanting to improve your English skills for vocational reasons, or looking to further your study in a mainstream programme, the English Centre can assist in providing you with the right programme to suit your personal goals.
Visitor Visa or Working Holiday Visa holders can study English on these permits. Conditions apply.

What English class levels do you offer?
Waiariki offers the following English class levels for students wanting to study either General English or English for Academic purposes. The Certificate in English programme covers both requirements of general and academic English learners. Class levels currently offered at Waiariki are:

What will I study in Class?
General English: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking;
