Course Aims: The aim of this course is to provide a holistic understanding of interior design. You’ll gain tips for re-arranging your home and work spaces.
Topics: Physical and mental health and the effects of colour.

Hospitality: Short Course Certificate in Bar Training
Combination of theory and practical work delivered from Quinn’s Bar at our Mokoia Campus.
Students will learn to:
• demonstrate knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and beverage service equipment;
• prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in a licensed commercial environment; and
• maintain a responsible drinking environment as a server in a licenced commercial environment

Hospitality: Short Course Certificate in Barista Training
This qualification will provide the skills and knowledge required for using espresso coffee equipment, recipes and the preparation of espresso beverages for service under supervision. This class will be held in the Green Bean Room, C Block on Mokoia Campus. Students will learn to:
• demonstrate knowledge of espresso coffee equipment and recipes; and
• prepare espresso beverages under supervision prepare and present espresso beverages for service

Hospitality: Short Course Certificate in Liquor Licence Controller
The content of this qualification meets the requirements for applying for a General Managers Certificate. Students must be over 18 years of age. Students will learn to:
• demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises; and
• demonstrate knowledge of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and its implications for licensed premises

Adult and Community Education Courses
Hospitality: Bread Appreciation (pending approval)
This three-day course is for the passionate bread lover and serious beginner, as well as the professional who wants to take time out to learn about the difference between artisan and commercial breads.
No previous knowledge is required. All theory information is given during the first session and will act as preparation for the practical classes.
