Lecturer – Maori and Indigenous Development
The full-time permanent position of Lecturer Maori and Indigenous Development will be responsible for coordinating and teaching papers on the proposed new degree in Maori Development being delivered across multiple sites. Ideal applicants will:
- Hold a Masters, preferably working towards a PhD
- Be Research focused
- Be experienced tertiary teachers with subject knowledge in Maori organisations, Maori development post settlement and policy
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in marae and community based delivery
- Have a passion for education and a desire to contribute within a dynamic learning organisation!

Academic Development Advisor
Permanent, full-time appointment based at Waiariki’s Mokoia campus
This position will contribute to enhancing the Institution’s position in the community, as well as our role as one of New Zealand’s most respected tertiary institutions. The Office of the Deputy Chief Executive-Academic Quality and Strategy oversees the quality of Waiariki Institute of Technology’s portfolio of academic qualifications. Reporting to the Academic Manager, the role of the Academic Development Advisor is to provide direction and support in the development and maintenance of the qualification portfolio and related projects as part of Waiariki’s continuous quality improvement philosophy.
Specifically, the successful candidate will have the qualifications and experience to contribute to the Academic Directorate team, which will ideally include:
- a background in continuous quality improvement
- involvement in curriculum development
- demonstrated knowledge of the tertiary sector and academic requirements
- strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Registered Nurse to co-ordinate and manage our Bachelor of Nursing programme at our Windermere campus in Tauranga. The successful applicant will have:
- Staff management experience
- Ability to manage and nurture our stakeholder relationships
- Advanced organisation, planning and communication skills
- Nursing registration with NCNZ and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Masters Degree
- At least three years full-time post registration clinical nursing practice experience
- A sound knowledge of academic systems and procedures is highly desirable.
