Course Aim

The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to check and report on livestock situations, assist with the handling and grazing of livestock, and to understand livestock health and behaviour.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Check and report on livestock.
  2. Understand and assist with handling and treatment of cattle in yards.
  3. Assist with livestock grazing management and feeding.
  4. Move stock safely and effectively.
  5. Understand livestock health and behaviour.
