Course Aim

This course will provide students with the knowledge to be able to explain important soil and nutrient properties and how these can be modified to enhance pasture production.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. describe the role of nutrients;
  2. take and interpret a soil test;
  3. describe key soil properties and how to modify them; and
  4. describe methods and techniques used to maximise pasture yield.
