This programme prepares you to enter the construction workforce in a range of areas, including as an apprentice.

Learn about safety, tools, materials, construction terminology, construction tasks and projects, processes, and techniques.

Specialist strands in this programme

There are two strands to choose from - Allied Trades for general construction skills, or Carpentry for a specific carpentry focus.

Admission and entry requirements for this qualification are in accordance with the academic regulations.

Students must be physically capable of meeting programme requirements. Applicants are also required to attend an information session where students must demonstrate their ability, interest, motivation and commitment to succeed in the programme.
