This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to examine the elementary principles and practice of writing fiction as applicable to a number of genres.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Distinguish between the different forms and principles of fiction;
- Select the appropriate writing process to take a story from first draft to final stage;
- Apply the various principles of fiction writing, at an introductory level, to their own work.
