Course Aim

The aim of this course is for students to learn the concepts and art of animation using industry leading software tools used by the entertainment industries. 3D modelling and animation techniques and tool sets are explored in this course to give students the skills to develop and produce 3D animation projects.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. analyse, interpret and implement a client brief;
  2. understand and demonstrate the principles of animation;
  3. model, animate, and render a character animation; and
  4. critically analyse an interpretation and implementation of a client brief
