The aim of this course is to enable students to analyse, model, design and document information systems, using object oriented analysis and design modelling techniques.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the different major approaches (e.g., traditional and object-oriented) to systems analysis and design as well as the strengths and weaknesses of each. Distinguish between various methods, techniques and tools used in these approaches.
- Study and apply a range of object modelling techniques and tools to problem domains.
- Solve a business systems problem by choosing and applying object modelling techniques and tools.
