The aim of this course is to extend student knowledge and skill through participation in a range of workshops. Students will work with a specified brief to develop ideas and concepts through research and experimentation with materials, process and techniques. Students will conduct research to inform their own work and practice, and develop a creative response to the project brief. Students will evidence their development within a chosen discipline through the creation of a personal development journal, and present creative outputs in relation to relevant frameworks and other artists and/or designers.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Produce a personal development journal that evidences critical thinking, and extension of technical skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate own work and work of others through reflection and critique.
- Explore and experiment with form, techniques and materials in the development of creative works that reflect their design ethos.
- Present and exhibit creative outputs in relation to relevant frameworks, and other artists and designers.
