Course Aim

Students will develop ability to use information and ideas from less familiar sources to produce insightful, well-designed and coherent professional or academic work in complex English.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. demonstrate listening skills to compile and choose relevant information independently while interacting in complex English in a range of formal settings for professional or academic contexts
  2. use complex spoken English to formulate insights and opinions with precision and spontaneity in interactions in a range of formal settings in professional or academic contexts
  3. independently interpret and evaluate long, written texts in complex English on less familiar topics for professional or academic contexts
  4. design and craft extended, logically structured, coherent written texts in complex English for professional or academic contexts
