The aim of this course is for students to explore the effects of ageing on the human body and apply this knowledge to supporting activities of daily living. Students will investigate a range of elimination needs of a client within the aged care, health or disability context.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- describe the ageing process of the human body;
- demonstrate knowledge and skills in the safe management of elimination needs for people in a health care context; and
- demonstrate knowledge and skills in the safe management of activities of daily living for elderly people in a health care and /or community context.
