Build on the Māori language skills developed in TREO.5200 Te Pihinga 1, and competently use rhythm, nuances and enunciation skills of native speakers.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- construct and recite grammatically correct sentences in Māori in a variety of social and cultural contexts;
- comprehend and comprehensively retell specific topics delivered in Māori;
- translate extracts from English to Māori and Māori to English; and
- demonstrate knowledge of advanced vocabulary.
