Students will develop capability in rehearsing and performing original or cover material to an acceptable and commercially viable industry standard. Students will also gain an insight into the challenges associated with working in an artistic environment including planning, organising, promoting and setting-up music gigs and tours.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- perform original and cover material to a commercially viable industry standard;
- plan and organise the promotional material and logistics for in-house and outside gigs, and short tours;
- set-up performance venues for in-house and outside gigs; and
- analyse the challenges associated with working in an artistic profession.
