Course Aim

This course will enable the student to integrate advance nursing knowledge and competencies in the facilitation of safe and holistic care of people with altered psychological patterns, focusing on a framework of partnership and empowerment of individuals and their family/whanau. Students will apply knowledge, attitudes and competencies in the provision of safe, holistic nursing care in increasingly complex practice settings with individuals with altered psychological patterns. Students will be required to purse active enquiry and critically reflect on their practice.
