Course Aim

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of structural anatomy and physiology as they relate to sports and exercise.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. describe the anatomy of muscles and bones, their location and their actions in relation to movement; and
  2. identify basic physiological terminology and discuss the structure and function of the nine systems of the human body plus their role in homeostasis and sports exercise.
