Course Aim

Gain the skills and knowledge required for undertaking basic farm maintenance using plumbing, carpentry and welding techniques.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate and apply knowledge of work hazards and safe work practices in relation to general farm maintenance;
  2. identify, use and maintain basic plumbing, carpentry and welding tools and equipment required for general farm maintenance;
  3. safely perform farm maintenance tasks using plumbing, carpentry and welding techniques; and
  4. perform mathematical calculations for farm maintenance tasks.
