Course Aim

Build your confidence and self esteem through personal development activities, and gain the confidence to enter/re-enter the education pathway.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. interact with others to solve problems
  2. prepare goal-setting plans
  3. expand personal interests for future opportunities
  4. demonstrate spotting and climbing techniques and identify issues related to climbing
  5. demonstrate the care and use of rock climbing gear. and
  6. either:
    demonstrate knowledge of river dynamics and hazards, and cross rivers safely; or
    demonstrate kayaking skills; or
    demonstrate mountain biking.
