New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 2);
The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to understand rural workplace hazards, and to carry out servicing and repair requirements for typical motorised and non-motorised agriculture/horticulture machinery.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of hazards, hazard control and the consequences of injury in a rural workplace;
- describe the maintenance and servicing requirements of engines; and
- service and repair agricultural machinery.
