This course will provide the students with the ability to perform outdoor activities in camping and rock climbing, including assessing weather conditions and managing health and safety.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- experience camping;
- demonstrate basic rock climbing movement;
- demonstrate lead climbing on indoor bolted climbs;
- demonstrate the use of basic rope systems for top rope rock climbing and abseiling;
- access weather conditions; and manage health and safety.
