The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to describe manufacturing material flows, develop process maps and make recommendations for improved process efficiency.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe process stages and give rationale for selection of equipment used in manufacturing systems.
- Develop a process map for a specified multi-stage manufacturing operation
- Describe a process map for manufacturing materials flow and make recommendations to improve processing efficiencies and the reduction of bottle necks.
