Course AimThe aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to carry out minor panel repair work on motor vehicles, including shrinking, metal finishing, filling, masking, priming, sanding, and the removal and replacement of motor body parts.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Remove and replace interior and exterior body parts and trim.
- Describe methods of repair and shrinking for minor panel damage in a vehicle.
- Repair minor motor body panel damage, shrink and metal finish a motor body panel.
- Understand and apply methods of masking, primers and primer fillers.
- Remove and replace a damaged bolted-on motor body panel.
- Fill and sand a repair.
