The aim of this course is to develop students' ability to think strategically when analysing an organisation's current situation and to develop a blueprint for an organisation's strategic intent.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- analyse an organisation’s existing competitive position with its external environment and with its existing competencies and capabilities, using a range of models and tools;
- design strategies which will achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for an organisation, consistent with its vision, values and ethical expectations; and
- evaluate the issues associated with implementing strategy in an organisation.
