The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge of health and safety requirements, safe working practices and to safely select, operate and maintain hand and power tools within the construction industry.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Receive and interpret verbal, written and visual information, including health and safety legislation and procedures
- Apply safe working practices within a workplace environment.
- Identify and describe the selection, use and maintenance of construction hand and power tools, using writing and speaking skills.
- Demonstrate the safe operation and maintenance of hand and power tools used within the construction industry.
