Students will explore digital and manual creative processes for the application of pattern on a variety of surfaces. Students will conduct and document research of patterns and motifs from a historical, contemporary and cultural context.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Analyse the components of pattern found in nature.
- Conduct and document research into historical, contemporary and cultural motifs and patterns to inform the development of a creative output.
- Experiment with digital and manual transfer techniques on a variety of surfaces.
- Design and incorporate pattern in accordance with a project brief.
