Course AimThis course aims to develop student teachers' knowledge skills and understanding of how to foster children's interests, enthusiasm and learning in outdoor and community environments. Students will develop an awareness of the impacts of these environments on children's health and well being.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate the significance of the wider community and events on children’s lives.
- Plan to provide a holistic learning environment for infants, toddlers and young children.
- Plan for children’s learning in the outdoors.
- Critically reflect on the impact of the environment on children’s learning.
