An English programme of study for speakers of other languages. This course is to prepare students of English proficiency intermediate or above for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam. Course content includes listening, reading, writing, speaking, grammar and vocabulary. The content is covered by a selection of lessons such as integrated textbook study, Living English (English for life in the local community), News, Exam Preparation, Preparation for Further Study and Language Laboratory tutorials.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- apply listening strategies to complete an IELTS listening test;
- apply reading strategies to complete an IELTS reading test;
- apply writing strategies to complete an IELTS writing test;
- apply speaking strategies to complete an IELTS speaking test;
in an IELTS exam to achieve the highest band score in relation to their English Language proficiency.
