Students will evaluate, synthesise and use ideas from a range of extended texts in complex English for general, workplace or academic contexts.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- apply listening skills to understand main ideas and key supporting details of extended spoken complex English discourse for general, workplace or academic contexts
- actively participate in oral discussions in complex English, for general, workplace or academic contexts
- use reading skills to evaluate and synthesise extended texts, written in complex English prose, on a range of topics for general, workplace or academic contexts
- write extended coherent texts in complex English for general, workplace or academic contexts
