The aim of this qualification is to prepare students for the IELTS exam.

Award information

To achieve the award of the Short Award in IELTS Strategies for Success, students must pass a total of 15 compulsory credits.

Knowledge and skills you will gain

Graduates will be able to:

  • apply listening, reading, writing and speaking test strategies to achieve the highest band score in relation to their existing English language proficiency.

Entry criteria

Admission and entry requirements for this qualification are in accordance with the academic regulations. Students must have previously completed any English Skills Development Course at Intermediate Proficiency Strand or above, or have an IELTS score of at least 4.0 or equivalent.
