The aim of this course is to provide students with First hand, contemporary field experience in the tourism sector under the supervision of a staff member and the opportunity to reflect on tourism studies and learning.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Critically analyse and evaluate the realities of the work environment against the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies at Waiariki.
- Conduct a triple bottom line review of the social, economic and environmental aspects of the business on the local community
- Make recommendations for improving business performance in identified key areas
