Course Aim

The aim of this course is to enable students to demonstrate knowledge of products and legislation applicable to sale of goods and services, provide information to customers on products in a specified department, explain and evaluate the legal definitions and consequences of theft or fraud in retail; and implement loss prevention policies and procedures.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate and integrate knowledge of legislation applicable to sale of goods and services.
  2. Explain the legal definitions and consequences of theft and fraud in a retail or distribution environment.
  3. Implement loss prevention policies and procedures in a retail or distribution environment.
