Course AimStudents will develop a fundamental understanding of standard musical notation and core musical elements including modes and scales, harmony, melody and rhythm, sight reading, listening analysis and notation skills.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- demonstrate and apply knowledge of standard forms of written musical notation; and
- demonstrate and apply knowledge of musical elements including pitch, rhythm and harmony.
