Course AimStudents will be introduced to the use of technology in recording and live sound production, manipulating sound waves and frequencies using digital audio devices, and working with live sound equipment in studio and live performance environments.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of sound-wave theory;
- demonstrate and apply knowledge of live sound equipment;
- compose music for a specified genre or application using a digital audio workstation (DAW); and
- demonstrate and apply knowledge of audio production in both studio and live performance settings.
