The aim of this course is to facilitate the transition for students into the Registered Nurse workforce Aotearoa New Zealand. The course will enable students to integrate and consolidate previous knowledge and practice at a beginning registered nurse level.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Synthesize confident and competent knowledge and practice in accordance with NCNZ competencies at a beginning new graduate level.
- Implement nursing knowledge and research, that demonstrates safe and effective, ethical, culturally appropriate care for clients whānau family, iwi and communities, in a bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Illustrate applied nursing knowledge that endorses students’ capability to undertake NCNZ state registering examination.
