The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to safely work at heights, store, handle and dispose of hazardous substances and manage drug and alcohol problems in the workplace.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the legislative requirements associated with working at heights, and the safety systems applicable for working at heights.
- Identify and explain hazardous substance vocabulary and properties, their effects, and precautions relating to the safe storage, handling and disposal of hazardous substances.
- Describe the management of drug and alcohol related problems in the workplace.
