Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of structural anatomy and physiology as they relate to sports and exercise.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- describe the anatomy of muscles and bones, their location and their actions in relation to movement; and
- identify basic physiological terminology and discuss the structure and function of the nine systems of the human body plus their role in homeostasis and sports exercise.
