Learn how to draft basic pattern blocks for women’s outerwear. Apply pattern manipulation techniques to create a range of garment designs and features, and develop the skills and knowledge to determine an appropriate garment fit.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- accurately perform basic calculations and take measurements to create garment pattern blocks;
- demonstrate and apply knowledge of pattern drafting terminology, equipment and techniques;
- produce basic pattern blocks for women’s outerwear; and
- manipulate pattern blocks to create garment designs and features.
